What are reputation points and what do they do? How do I get some?

Here's how rep power is calculated:

For every 5 number of posts, users gain 1 point.
For every 50 points of reputation, users gain 1 point.
For every 365 days of membership, users gain 1 point.

A user must have 1 post before his reputation hits count on others.

Forgot to say the user reputation system also allows the members to leave comments about each others' posts, and thereby contribute to their overall 'reputation'.

They are very helpful for making smart/informative/quality posts. Never spam.

really rep points r a great way to show that ur popular ur a no it all type of person. also u can add to people reps by click the in someones post that u liked. also don't be shy to click the thank u button someone might just give u rep points for saying thanks
